RAISING FUNDS FOR THE CHILDREN OF GILGIL, KENYA

The Orphan Support League was founded with the aim of raising funds for the children of Gilgil, Kenya. We support the Saidia Children’s Home and other carefully selected outreach programs that provide food and educational opportunities for orphans and children from underserved neighborhoods. Our charity is a sister organization of The Saidia Children's Charity (Kenya) in the UK and is staffed entirely by volunteers. Nobody involved takes a salary and we spend no money on administration or advertising, meaning every single dollar we receive will go towards improving the lives of children.

Please take a look at the information on this website regarding the specific projects we support and donate today by sending a check to us at:

Our Story

The Orphan Support League was founded in 2007 by Briony Bax in Piedmont, California, as a sister organization to the UK's Saidia Children's Charity (Kenya) which supports the Saidia Children’s Home in Gilgil, Kenya which was co-founded by Kenyan born Anne Mitchell, Briony’s aunt.

Our focus is on raising funds for the Saidia Children’s Home and its outreach programs in Gilgil, such as the Bondeni Project which provides daily pre-schooling and food for children who live in the town's red-light area.

The Orphan Support League is a unique charity in that it has absolutely NO administrative, fundraising or advertising costs. ALL the people who work for the League are volunteers, and the Bax Family pay for all extra expenses involved in the running of the League.

Our role is to act as a gatekeeper so that you can be sure 100% of the funds received are spent on worthwhile projects that we are closely involved with, and that we visit regularly.
